Andrew Birkholz

Andrew was an employee of Pulcinella Ristorante for three years, with outstanding experience in customer service. Andrew managed the restaurant front and participated in and led the serving staff in the extensive wine education studies and tastings required of all the serving staff. He also hosted weekly wine tastings for the public, which were held every Friday afternoon at Pulcinella. Recently, he spent 1 year in Italy intensifying his studies of Italian wine regions, their associated grapes, and the production history of these regions. As a result, he is knowledgeable and passionate abou the regions of Piemonte, Le Marche, Toscana, and Lazio, in which he lived and worked, and is looking to expand his experience and expertise to include all twenty of Italy's wine regions.

Andrew was also in charge of the wine list, which allowed him to work closely with wine representatives from various distributors in Colorado. He is continuing his studies of wine and is improving his Italian language skills. Andrew will be with Bacco Imports for many years to come and will continue to be an integral part of our team.
