Characteristics of the soil: very deep and alluvial soil full of humus, overlaying calcareous bedrock. Growing system: free-standing bush and wire supported system. Planting system: mt 1.40 x 1.40 for free standing bush, mt 2.00 x 1.30 for wire supported system. Mechanization: limited. Average age of the vineyard: 30-40 years. Average yield per hectare: 100-120 quintals of grapes for wire supported wines, 80-90 quintals of grape for bush wines. Harvesting period: end of September. Harvesting method: manually in wooden cases. Aged in large Slovenian oak and tonneaux for at least 18 months. Color: ruby red with violet reflexes. Bouquet: intense spicy notes, black cherry, berry fruit, Mediterranean flavors. Taste: tannic, velvety and spiced. Serving suggestions: pasta dishes, with typical sauce, red meat and game. Serving temperature: 18-20 degrees C.
