Germano Ettore - Serralunga d'Alba, Piemonte
Barolo Prapò, D.O.C.G.
100% Nebbiolo. 3400 bottles produced. Vines were planted in 1967 with southeast exposure. The soil consists mainly of limestone, and the grapes are harvested during the middle of October. After traditional vinification the must is fermented in contact with the skins for 9 - 12 days. The wine is then transferred to 15hl oak barrels and left there to mature for 24 months. One more year of bottle aging, and the wine is ready for sale. The color is bright garnet red with orange tints, and the bouquet has intense scents of black currants, nuts and vanilla. The resulting taste is full, pleasantly persistent, and well balanced.
